Titles & Rank
King and Queen:
They serve in this position for a period of six months during which they conduct court, giving titles and awards to those worthy and appointing the local Baron and Baroness when their service has come to an end. The King and Queen are addressed as "Majesty" or "Your Majesty". You will know them by the Crowns of the Kingdom which they will wear at almost all times. You should always bow when they pass and bow whenever you pass by them, and you should stand when they enter the room.
Prince and Princess:
They serve in this position for a period of six months during which they learn the duties they will assume upon taking the thrones and becoming King and Queen. The Prince is decided in a tournament called "Crown Tourney", and it is his consort who becomes his Princess. The Prince and Princess are addressed as "Highness" or "Your Highness". You will know them by the Coronets of the Kingdom which they will wear at almost all times. You should always bow when they pass and bow whenever you pass by them.
Duke and Duchess:
A Duke or Duchess are given their rank upon stepping down after serving as King and Queen for a second time. You will know them by their coronets of points made up of three clusters at each peak, which they will wear at almost all times. They are addressed as "Grace" or "Your Grace" and you should bow when they pass by.
Count and Countess:
A Count or Countess are given their rank upon stepping down after serving as King and Queen. You will know them by their coronets of eight points, which they will wear at almost all times. They are addressed as "Excellency" or "Your Excellency" and you should bow when they pass by.
Baron and Baroness:
There are two types of Baron or Baroness. This type hold an office and are the leaders of a Barony, they are known as being "landed" or "Territorial". You will know them by their coronets of six points, which they will wear at almost all times. They are addressed as "Excellency" or "Your Excellency" and you should bow when they pass by.
Order of the Rose:
This order is comprised of the consorts of the Kings of Atlantia.
Order of the Chivalry:
This order is comprised of fighters from the Heavy field of combat who have achieved a level of skill fitting to the other members of the order. Members of this order are called "Knight" and are addressed as "Sir". They may wear a white belt, a gold chain, and spurs.
Order of the Laurel:
This order is comprised of those who have achieved a level of skill in a particular art or science fitting to the other members of the order. Members of this order are addressed as "Master" or "Mistress". They most often display the insignia of the order which is a plain laurel wreath, most often rendered as green upon gold.
Order of the Pelican:
This order is comprised of those who have given service in the SCA to a level which is seen as fitting to the other members of the order. Members of this order are addressed as "Master" or "Mistress". They most often display the insignia of the order which is "a pelican in her piety" -that is, wounding her breast to feed her nestlings, which is an ancient symbol of service beyond sanity.

Order of the Golden Dolphin:
This order honors and recognizes those subjects of the Kingdom who have distinguished themselves by their service to Atlantia.
Order of the Pearl:
This order honors and recognizes those subjects of the Kingdom who have distinguished themselves with excellence in the arts and sciences of the period.
Order of the Sea Stag:
This order honors and recognizes those subjects who have distinguished themselves by their teaching of the fighting arts of the period.
Order of the Kraken:
This order is for non-belted Heavy fighters who have distinguished themselves by consistent achievement on the field.
Order of the Yew Bow:
This order honors and recognizes those who have distinguished themselves through their skill with the bow and arrow.
Order of the White Scarf:
This order honors and recognizes those subjects who have excelled in the exercise and advance of the noble art of fence, and have distinguished themselves as examples of the precepts to which it is devoted.

Grant of Arms:
A Grant of Arms is given to those who have shown exceptional service. Recipients may be called “His Lordship" or "Her Ladyship”.
Order of the Opal:
This order recognizes those who have distinguished themselves through service.
Order of the Coral Branch:
This order recognizes those who have distinguished themselves through arts & sciences.
Order of the Sea Dragon:
This order recognizes those who have distinguished themselves upon the rapier field.
Order of the Silver Osprey:
This order recognizes those who have distinguished themselves upon the heavy field.
Order of the King's Missiliers:
This order recognizes those who have distinguished themselves by their effort with bow and arrow.
Order of the Quintain:
This order recognizes those who have distinguished themselves upon the equestrian field.
Award of Arms:
This is given for service to the kingdom or a local group. They are addressed as "Lord" or "Lady". They may wear a circlet and display their Arms.
NOTE: All those listed above this point are also endowed with an Award of Arms.
Baron and Baroness:
There are two types of Baron or Baroness. This type does not hold an office, they are known as being a "Court" Baron or Baroness. They are addressed as "Excellency" or "Your Excellency". They may wear a coronet with six points.
There are numerous other awards to be had in the SCA, both at the Kingdom and Baronial level however no others confer titles of address or rank within court. Anyone without these entitlements are addressed as "Milord" or "Milady" for simple common courtesy. If in doubt as to how someone should be addressed, "Milord" or "Milady" will suffice.
